Woodworking has been a hobby of mine for the past 30 years. I always had some type of shop for my woodworking tools.
My most recent addition was a wood lathe purchased for me as a gift back in 2000. This opened a whole new world to my woodworking and artistic talents. I have all but stopped doing flat work. If I can't turn it on my lathe, I don't make it.
About the same time as I was working on turning projects my pen collecting habit went into overdrive. I was collecting pens and starting to developt a line of my own pens for sale. This lead to Penworks opening a small store in Cave Creek. Az. I was starting to perfect my pen making using different materials, such as lucite, stone, antlers and resins. Started to cast my own resins to perfect colors I wanted but could not find. I had my own gold nibs made for my fountain pens and entered the Pen Makers Guild. SO now, I am just hanging on to this wild ride I'm on! My pen making, collecting and selling is starting to consume me.
Fast forward to 2006, Penworks has moved to a new bigger location. Located right on the border of Carefree and Cave Creek, Penworks has expanded to 1200 square feet for its new studio and store. We have evolved to a full blown fine writing instrument store with over 20 brand name pens manufacturers and my own brand Penchetta.
Penworks has the largest selection of fine pens in Arizona. Plus you can find writing papers, stationary, many brands fo bottle inks, your favorite refills and leather goods and much more for gift items.
We have just add a Laser engraver to our studio, so we can now engrave boxes, pen cases and much more for your special needs.
I welcome you to stop by the store and experience the art of fine pens and writng. If you can't make it, please browse my web site for your purchases and drop me a note with any questions you have.
I look forward to being of service to you for your writing enjoyment.
Write on,
Anthony
